D1X ISO Test Results
Using the images obtained in the ISO test we next opened each one in PhotoShop and selected two 20 pixel x 20 pixel areas. The first area was a portion of the blue sky and the second area was a portion of white from inside the gable trim. The histogram for these areas were then evaluated to obtain the value of Standard Deviation. These values were then recorded in the table below then graphed. The point where the deviation makes a steep climb is the point at which there would be too much noise in the photo to allow adequate results. Also note that this test is subject to ambient temperature. In this test the ambient temperature was about 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
